Akshay Kumar (born September 9, 1967) is an Indian-born naturalized Canadian actor, film producer, martial artist, and television personality who works in Bollywood, the commercial Hindi language film industry located mostly in Mumbai. Kumar has starred in over 100 films throughout the course of his career and has received several prizes, including a National Film Award for Best Actor and two Filmfare Awards. Kumar is one of Hindi cinema’s most successful and prolific performers. Kumar earned more money in the first two days of filming than he did in a month’s pay, so he decided to pursue a modeling career.
