If a photo of you making a weird face is the last thing you need to see before you go to bed every night, you’re in luck: HBO Max is launching this July, and it’s all about new shows and movies, not stuff that you’ve already seen a million times. It’s also not pay cable, so if you’re a cord cutter, you’ll find a number of popular shows on the service.

HBO Max is HBO’s streaming service, which costs $15.99 per month and offers way more content than HBO Go. It’s also $10 less than Netflix and other competitors which are considered a bargain, but still expensive. And there’s a catch: the HBO Max catalog is mostly comprised of older shows.

If you’re a fan of premium cable, you may be excited to hear that HBO Max has just announced their slate of new shows to be featured on their streaming service in July 2021. The new HBO Max will include the following:

Congratulations to all Space Jam fans. Your time has come. The inexplicably beloved ’90s film returns with a new star and a new legacy. Space Jam: A new legacy LeBron James takes over the central role from Michael Jordan. This time, LeBron must enter a sophisticated computer program to save his son in – what else? – The Looney Tunes helped with the basketball. The film will be released in theaters and on HBO Max next month.

HBO Max will also present Steven Soderbergh’s latest heist film, a period thriller called No Harsh Moves. Catch and Kill will also be released in July on HBO Max : The Podcast Tapes, a documentary series about Ronan Farrow’s podcast and his efforts to uncover the sexual assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein over several decades, as well as the premieres of recent critical hits Shiva Baby and Freaky. There are also older films, including the original Planet of the Apes series, Reservoir Dogs and the first Scream trilogy.
