Cats Taylor Swift, actress, 30 years old – SLAMMING, Scooter Braun actress, 39 years old, for selling her original recordings without her permission! Last year Scooter Taylor’s Big Machine label group and recording rights were bought through his company Ithaca Ventures.
Yesterday it was announced that Scooter has indeed sold all the masters of the first six Swift records to the investment fund! When she wanted to repurchase them, Taylor said she was asked to sign the NOA, which her legal team didn’t agree to, and eventually Taylor wrote a public letter to her fans saying I had to sign a document that silenced me forever before I had a chance to bet on my own work. My legal team has said that this is completely abnormal and that they have never seen such a NOA unless it was done to silence the abuser by paying him/her. He wouldn’t even give my team a prize. These original recordings were not sold to me. Taylor then reveals that the investment fund that actually bought the Masters has contacted her and wants to work with her, but this would mean that Scooter would continue to benefit from her music, which of course she doesn’t want! She moved on: I wanted to check and let you know. As you know, I’ve been actively trying to regain possession of my school books for the past year. That’s why my team tried to negotiate with Scooter Brown. Scooter’s team wanted me to sign an infallible non-disclosure agreement stating that I would never say anything about Scooter Braun again unless it was positive before we could look at the BMLG’s financial records (which is always the first step in a purchase of this type). So I have to sign a document that locks me up forever before I get a chance to bet on my own work. My legal team has said that this is completely abnormal and that they have never seen such a NOA unless it was done to silence the abuser by paying him/her. He wouldn’t even give my team a prize. Those records weren’t sold to me. A few weeks ago my team received an email from a private investment company called Shamrock Holdings saying that they had bought 100% of my music, videos and album covers from Scooter Braun. It was the second time my music was sold without my knowledge. The letter said that they wanted to contact me before the sale to inform me about the sale, but Scooter Braun demanded that they would not contact me or my team or that the deal would be cancelled.
She moved on: As soon as we started communicating with Shamrock, I found out that their terms meant that Scooter Braun would benefit from my early music catalogue for years to come. I had hoped and was open to the possibility of working with Shamrock, but Scooter’s involvement hasn’t started for me yet. I recently started re-recording my old music and it has already proven to be exciting and creative. I have many surprises in store for you, I want to thank you for your support in this ongoing saga, and I can’t wait for you to know what I dream of. I love you, and I keep traveling, as they say. PS: In the interest of transparency and clarity, I enclose a reply letter that I sent on 18 January. October 2020 to the private equity group that bought my music. You can read it below…

Letter from Taylor-Swift
Dear Patrick, Jason and Laura
Thank you for your letter. After reading your kind words, I was excited to work with people who appreciate art and understand how much my life’s work means to me. I immediately started planning all the ways we could work together to develop and protect my music while maximising results for everyone involved, especially my fans. Although my masters were sold for the second time without my knowledge as I actively tried to buy them, your letter brought me great hope for my musical heritage and for our possible future.
That’s why I was so disappointed that Scooter Braun and Ithaca will receive financial compensation from my musicians, music videos and album covers for many years to come as part of their acquisition. If I support you, I will, at your request, participate in future payments to Scooter Braun and Ithaca Holdings. I cannot, in good conscience, force myself to participate in the direct or indirect benefit of the interests of Scooter Braun. That’s why I don’t appreciate you being your partner now. It’s a pity I won’t be able to grow the future of these earlier works now, and it really hurts me to be separated from the music I’ve been making for over ten years, but it’s a sacrifice I have to make to get Scooter Braun out of my life. I’m really sorry he put you in this position. I hope this will lead to a better result and let me know if your company will ever be completely independent of Scooter Braun and its partners.
I think it’s necessary to be very transparent with you. I will continue with my original planning for the redesign and start this work soon. I know this will diminish the value of my former masters, but I hope you understand that this is my only way to give back the pride I felt when I listened to the songs of my first six albums and also to allow my fans to listen to these albums without feeling guilty for favouring Scooter.
Sincerely, Taylor Swift.
Take a look at the emails Taylor sent to Twitter at the bottom of his Twitter page and let us know: THEY THINK ROLLING BROWN IS MALIGNANT ???? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO IT?
I have many questions about the recent sale of my former owners. I hope this clarifies things. pick.twitter.com/sscKXp2ibD
