Anthony Capel Jones was born on the 20th. September 1968, born in Jackson, Tennessee. He is a press commentator, author and American lawyer.

He is the son of Loretta Jean, who was a high school teacher, and Willie Anthony Jones, who was a high school principal and has a twin sister named Angela.

He was deeply moved by this verdict, and stated in a 2005 interview that on the 28th. In April he was still an exuberant nationalist, but in August 1992 he became a communist.

His activism was sparked by deep racial inequities in New Haven, Connecticut, during a drug trafficking trial.

After law school, he became involved in numerous activities and co-founded a socialist collective called Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM).

In 1995, it launched its Bay Area Police Watch project, a telephone referral service for attorneys dealing with victims of police abuse.

From 1999 to 2000, he led a campaign to defeat Proposal 21, which increased sentences for several violent crimes and required young offenders to be sentenced as adults.

In 2005, he co-founded an Internet grassroots organization dedicated to black issues: The color of change. He also began to promote ecological capitalism and environmental justice. In 2009, he was appointed special advisor on green jobs, entrepreneurship and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.

Many Republicans criticized him for his past actions and his support of prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal, forcing him to resign that same year. He said he was the target of a vicious smear campaign and that they use distortion to sow discord.

He is the author of Green Collar Economics, Rebuild the Dream, and the bestseller Beyond the Dirty Truth.

He is the co-founder of Magic Labs Media LLC. He is a regular political commentator on CNN and led the fight for the bipartisan criminal justice reform bill, the First Step Act.
