Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumiya commissioned the construction of a two-storey conference room on the campus of the Bibiani Health College and the Allied Satellite Science Centre in Sefvi Anhviaso, Bibiani Anhviaso Bekwei Municipality, to create a favourable environment for education and learning.
Dr. Bavumiya also cuts soda for the construction of a dormitory to improve living conditions at the college.
On a two-day trip to the northwest, the vice president visited the leaders of Darbaru and the people of Sefvi Chirano and talked to the voters.
Dr Bawumiya described the many strategies and programmes implemented by the government in Akufo-Addo over the past three years, including the school feeding programme, the single district factory and the restoration of services for teachers and nurses.
The others are cocoa pollination, a scholarship package for university students, an outpatient clinic for each district, free water and electricity, and a policy of free high school education that has brought work and enlightenment to parents.
The Akufo-Addo government had inherited the bad economic situation from the previous government, but managed to transform it and improve the living conditions of the Ghanaians.
He explained that the policy of free upper secondary education has reduced the financial burden on parents to send their children to the CBC.
This is clear proof that the factory has fulfilled many of its pre-election promises, he said, and he urged the Ghanaians to give the government another four years.
He said more than 90,000 health workers have worked in the health sector for a year and a half, while others have received government grants to study abroad and improve their professional skills.
Dr Bawumiya urged the people of Bibyani constituency to vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and Alfred Obeng Boateng, the candidate for Bibyani-Anhviaso-Bekwei constituency, so that they can carry out development projects in the constituency.
The NDC government will fail in its policy of free high schools if the Germans accidentally give them another chance, he said.
In his speech, Ogyeaho Yaw Gyebi ll, head of the Paramauna of the traditional district of Sefvi Anhviaso, thanked President Akoufo-Addo for his unprecedented performance in three and a half years of government.
Ohieaho addressed the development of the Bibiani community and thanked President Akoufo-Addo for his appointment to the GNPC Foundation and for raising the status of the Bibiani region to community level.
